A Tribute to Venezuela: A Carnival of Rhythm, Color, and Joy

This year’s theme, „Venezuela: A Celebration of Rhythm, Color, and Joy,” serves as a cultural bridge between two lands with enduring historical ties. The official carnival poster, designed by Tenerife artist Nareme Melián, was recently unveiled at the Town Hall. Paying tribute to the legendary Callao Carnival, recognized as a World Heritage Site, Melián’s artwork encapsulates the unity of these two vibrant cultures.

His masterpiece showcases elegant madams dressed in the colors of the Venezuelan and Canarian flags, alongside a devilish figure adorned with multi-colored ribbons, symbolizing the rich fusion of historical and cultural influences. Adding to the allure, the presence of national birds—orioles and wild canaries—infuses the artwork with the essence of both regions, setting the tone for a carnival filled with multicultural splendor.

The Los Cristianos Carnival 2025 promises a thrilling lineup of events spanning 12 action-packed days, featuring:
